This easy breakfast spread for a group of kids and teens is simple, generous and stress-free. Serve mini crumpets with crispy bacon, strawberries, cereal, yoghurt, juice and a few easy extras for a crowd-pleasing morning meal.

If you’re feeding a group of hungry kids or teenagers in the morning, this is such an easy breakfast spread to put together. It feels generous, but it doesn’t require much actual cooking — which is always a win.
As a mom of teens, we regularly have groups of boys staying over! You always want them to start the day with some protein and of course something fun! This breakfast combo seems to go down a treat!
The bulk of the breakfast was made up of:
- A large portion of crispy bacon (the much-needed protein!)
- A batch of mini crumpets (something fun)
I used about 1 kg of streaky bacon, which cooked down to roughly 350 g, and that was enough to feed six hungry teenage boys. There were no leftovers so if you have more kids than that, please adjust quantities accordingly.
The recipe to cook crispy bacon in the oven is listed below, however I sometimes put the bacon onto a stovetop pan and just fry it on low whilst I get everything else ready.
You can also bulk out the breakfast table with a few easy extras. I put out a punnet of strawberries, which went down really well, along with syrup for the crumpets, a few cereals, milk and about 2 litres of orange juice or mixed fruit juice.

For the cereals, just use whatever you already have on hand — no need to overthink it. I also bought those tiny little probiotic dairy drinks, which were surprisingly popular. Mini tubs of yoghurt would work just as well too.
Here is a list of everything you need:
- 1kg bacon (streaky or shoulder) – recipe below for oven method
- 1 batch of mini crumpets – recipe below
- A punnet of strawberries, washed and sliced in half
- A few cereal options (usually whatever you have in the pantry!)
- Jug of fresh milk
- 2 litres of orange juice or mixed fruit juice
- Mini probiotic dairy drinks or mini tubs of yoghurt, as an alternative to the probiotic drinks
- Anything else you already have on hand, such as extra fruit, muesli or granola
- Syrup/honey for the crumpets
