Description
Can you believe you can whip up a delicious chocolate cake in the microwave in just 7 minutes? Believe it – here’s the recipe!
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup oil
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 3 heaped tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Mix everything together until smooth.
- Pour into a well greased microwave ring cake tin.
- Cook on high for seven minutes.
- If you have a microwave that isn’t powerful enough, cook for eight minutes.
- When cooled, ice with chocolate icing.
Quick, easy and deliciously light. Could cut in half
and sandwich together with chocolate icing. Mixture
almost rose above my ring container. Next time I will use the bundt ring which is larger. Easy peasy!

can we cook this in steel tin
I would cook the cake in a microwave safe dish! Keep steel tins for the oven and rather use plastic.
Made this cake yesterday WOW WOW WOW what a pleasant surprise. Was so sceptical because the method was so easy, nearly too good to be true but yes I will definitely make it again and again. I topped it with coffee butter icing.
Just made this – its so easy and very yummy! I didnt have golden syrup in the cupboard – put in some maple syrup and a splash of honey!!! WOW – it all went in minutes – so moist and the flavour is amazing. Wouldnt of known it only took 7 minutes in a microwave!!! Thanks for sharing this great recipe!!! 😀
