Can I use yoghurt instead of buttermilk? What r the substitute for buttermilk please?
Louise
Yes of course you can substitute the buttermilk with yoghurt, I often use yoghurt in baking even sometimes as a substitute for milk.

ladıfa
can ı use mılk ınstead of buttermılk
Louise
You can if you have to, but the buttermilk definitely makes for a more moist cake. You could even mix half yoghurt and half milk together.

Hi Loiuse .
I just baked your lovely chocolate cupcakes. It baked nicely but I have one issue …. I find it too chocolatey …. very dark and overpowering in the chocolate taste. Perhaps it’s just me as I am not a lover of dark chocolate. I used Nestle cocoa and half a cup (125ml) as per your recipe. I would like to do them again but am wondering can I use less cocoa?

Can I use self raising flour instead for this cupcake recipe?
