You have margarine in the ingredients yet refer to butter. Butter is a better ingredient IMO anything that is made from plastic and never goes off is not really edible even though it may simulate food.

You can use either Margarine or butter but if you use margarine, make sure its suitable for baking.

    Hi there

This recipe looks lovely and I’m definitely going to give it a bash! I baked crunchies for the first time yesterday, and they were more “chewy” than crunchy! Anyone know why?

    Thanks!

This is a great recipe; the crunchies come out sweet and cripsy although I do find it better to cook them at 160-170 degrees celcius on top of another baking tin – I find this helps to stop them from burning on the bottom and ensures they to cook through properly.

I will be baking a huge amount to give to family and friends for the Chistmas holidays and would appreciate tips on how to store them until I am ready to box and deliver them. Thanks so much!
