Making your own pancakes from scratch is much easier than you might think! Use this easy recipe and bake pancakes slowly with a bit of butter on medium/low heat. Serve with either a savoury or a sweet filling – depending on your tastebuds.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 ½ cups milk
- ½ cup oil or melted butter
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vinegar
Instructions
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Add the liquids gradually.
- Mix well.

This is the second time im making this. have to say my family love this pancakes they always go back for more. plus its very easy to make. 🙂 i wrote a comment before and made a lot of spelling faults lol, oh and i forgot to say that i always add sugar cos my family love it sweet then serve them with cream and jam.

vinegar is an acid and causes the baking powder to create more carbon dioxide faster, giving you a lighter and fluffier pancake. it should still work fine without it as the cream of tartar in the baking powder does the same. vinegar is usually used when you are using Sodium bicarbonate rather than baking powder.

The vinegar activates the baking powder. similar to the way you make a bi-carb and vinegar volcano. by adding the vinegar you prevent the pancakes from getting that baking powder flour taste, from unmixed baking powder that doesn’t activate and they come out nice and fluffy and light as the baking powder has been fully activated to release its magic.
So basically yes makes them taste good 🙂
