Cheese Puffs

This easy recipe will create scrumptious cheese puffs in one-two-three. Perfect for breakfast or lunch, or simply as a quick snack when you are hungry but too busy to cook, these cheese puffs can be frozen, re-heated and enjoyed at your convenience!

  • Yield: 10 - 12 cheese puffs 1x

Description

A light, fluffy savoury treat. Super quick and simple to whip up!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg beaten into 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Place spoonfuls into greased pattie tins.
  3. Bake at 240°C for approx 10 minutes.

    These came out really good except the cheese flavour wasn’t very strong (I used gouda).

    Do you think I could add some wilted spinach to the puffs? I think that would give me the flavour I’m looking for….
