Bar One Sauce

August 26, 2009 by Louise

A few scoops of vanilla ice-cream topped with a rich and decadent chocolate sauce is a popular treat worldwide. And when the chocolate sauce is homemade, it’s even better. Follow this easy recipe to create the creamiest Bar One sauce you have ever tasted!

Ingredients:

4 Bar One chocolate bars
1 cup of cream

Method:
  1. Bring water to the boil in a big pot, and put a bowl or a pan on top of it.
  2. Break the chocolate bars into small pieces, put them in the bowl/pan, and put a lid on. The steam from the boiling water will melt the chocolate slowly.
  3. Add the cream bit by bit and stir well.
  4. Cool for a minute, pour the sauce over vanilla ice-cream and enjoy!

@Hottie – they are the medium-sized / standard ones, not sure of the grammage.

Hi there, how many servings does this recipe provide for?

Hi tarryn, it’s difficult to say because there is no set portion size. The recipe says 4 people but I would say you could easily cater for up to 12.

This recipe is delightful, but what I did was add a tablespoon of Amarula to it all.My guests want to award me with an osca for the most mouth watering taste ever.I also stuck a wafer into the ice-cream.Who wants to eat vegetables with this recipe around?
